Buy a KeyNub USB-C License Dongle or Hardware Security Module

Two products, each sold as a single unit, both built on the same USB-C hardware family and both shipped from Munich, Germany. One protects your licences; the other protects your keys.

KeyNub USB-C License Dongle

A USB-C hardware key that proves to your application that a license is genuine, using an ECDSA key pair generated inside a secure element that cannot export it. License records, monotonic counters and encrypted app data all live on the key itself, so verification needs no server, no account and no internet connection.

The SDK is free, with bindings for over twenty languages. The bindings, the samples and the C ABI header are published under Apache-2.0, so you can read the whole integration path before you order any hardware; the prebuilt native libraries ship under their own binary licence terms.

KeyNub USB-C Hardware Security Module

For the keys your business runs on rather than a licence. RSA up to 4096 bits and elliptic curves up to P-521, generated inside a Common Criteria EAL6+ certified smart card and never extractable — for certificate authorities, code signing, TLS server keys, document signing and SSH. The card ships uninitialised, so you set the SO-PIN, the user PIN and the encrypted backup domain yourself and no KeyNub-held credential exists.

It presents the standard USB smart-card reader class, so Windows, Linux and macOS each bind their own built-in driver and your existing PKCS#11 tooling drives it with nothing to install. See the hardware security module page for the full specification, or the datasheet.

Volume and OEM

Volume pricing for OEM integration is available on request for either product, and both are offered as an OEM platform: your own enclosure, logo, USB identifiers and firmware rather than ours, under a separate agreement.
